About Us
We’re the Magnolia Cafes, with two locations in Austin, Texas. We started serving eggs and pancakes in 1979 as the “Omelettry West” on Lake Austin Blvd. After a few years and a few additions to the menu, we changed our name to Magnolia Cafe. Then, in 1988, we opened a second location on South Congress. The rest is history.
We’ve been feeding Austinites and tourists, celebrities and politicians, college students and their parents, and families with small children for over 30 years. Some of those small children have grown up to work in the very same restaurant where they threw pancakes on the floor. We have loved our role in the Austin community.
Which brings us to the merchandise.
If you need a sentimental token of your love of Magnolia Cafe, please browse our web site for T’s, magnets, hats, and whatever else we can come up with. Sometimes you just have to keep Magnolia close to your heart. We do – so we understand.
